INDIA AS WATER SUPER POWER
India is land of perennial rivers
and many peninsular rivers. But
still many fertile lands became arid regions due to unskilled ways of farming ,
different policies and wastage of water resources.
Though we have improved many
techniques to improve the yield, we couldn’t enjoy expected results. Moreover
most of our farmers are losing their hopes and committing suicide when they are
seeing their crops failure at the harvest time due to lack of water.
Instead of draining our fresh perennial
waters in to bays, seas and oceans why can’t we bifurcate those fresh waters by
putting rock dams and set dams to
all peninsular rivers?
We had taken up this issue as a working project of Social
science for this academic year. We have tried to show some remedy for this
frying problem .We can connect these waters from HALDIA then from
GODAVARI,KRISHNA ,BHIMA,HUNGARY AND CAUVERY rivers to reach to Tamil Nadu .If
they feel water in excess they can drain into Bay of Bengal after their
consumption. If all our water engineers
are working over this project definitely India will become water super power.
